Rt. Rev‘d Dr. George Kotei Neequaye

President, Oheneba-Dornyo University College of Counselling Psychology

Rt. Rev’d Dr. George Kotei Neequaye is the President of Oheneba-Dornyo University College of Counselling Psychology (ODUCCP).

He was appointed on 1 September 2026 and sworn into office on 8 September 2026. He also serves as a member of the Governing Council and is the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Tema.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Ghana, and a Bachelor of Theology (Honours) degree from the University of Nottingham, England. His academic and professional experience spans theological education, teaching, research, academic supervision, pastoral ministry and institutional governance.

Dr. Neequaye has been associated with ODUCCP as a lecturer since 2024 and has also served as an External Examiner for the University College’s Master of Arts in Counselling programme.

He has held several leadership positions at Trinity Theological Seminary, including Dean of Students, Director of Undergraduate Studies and Vice President. He has also served on various boards, councils and church committees and currently chairs the Governing Council of St Nicholas Seminary, Cape Coast, and the Board of Spirit Insurance Brokerage Company Limited.

As President, Rt. Rev’d Dr. Neequaye provides leadership for the continued development of ODUCCP, working with the Governing Council, management, staff, students and relevant regulatory and professional bodies to uphold academic standards and strengthen the University’s contribution to counselling psychology education and professional training.
